Orange Département 84

Built on the classical architectural scheme of a roman city, Orange was generously endowed with public buildings. As a city of art and history, Orange has an amazingly rich heritage. You will be able to admire its private townhouses, its Triumph Arch (26-27 AD) and the Theatre Antique, the best maintained Roman Theater in the world. Today, it is still a place of cultural manifestations, as it welcomes thousands of spectators every year in the summer, in particular during the Choregies, the famous opera festival.During your roman stroll, you will certainly enjoy to walk around the streets full of memories of the Old Orange and take a seat on a shady square.
From Orange, you can also discover the area on foot or on bicycle and stop in one of the cellars for a Cotes du Rhone wine-tasting!
